How the HESS works

Energy is fed into the system from sources such as solar, wind, hydro, diesel, and grid power. Energy is stored in rack-mounted batteries. From there, the adjustable inverters tune the output to provide consistent single, split, or three-phase power.

The batteries have been designed so they can be added or removed without disrupting the power supply. This not only maximises efficiency but also enhances the longevity and reliability of the power supply, all while maintaining a commitment to safety, transparency and reliability.

How can the HESS be used?

Stand Alone Power

Acting as a generator enabled BESS, supplying assured power as an alternate to uncertain grid supply, in advance of connection of grid supply or in remote places where field technical support is expensive or unavailable.

Stand By Power

Replacing inefficient and under managed standby power with efficient assured support for prime circuits. Best used when load exceeds installed HESS capacity. Can use available grid power for charging. Can be in Stand In mode as a UPS and BESS for critical circuits and Stand By mode for normal circuits.

Acting as UPS and BESS, but also optionally taking single phase and or low power grid and supplying three phase and high power output. This configuration allows the grid to be relegated to back up role and only used when insufficient wind or solar is available. By isolating load from direct grid connection, Aura’s HESS removes all grid noise and voltage variations and also fulfils a Stand By role when required.
