Who we are

Aura Clean Energy specialises in providing sustainable clean energy solutions to various industries and local governments. Aura offers a wide range of products and services designed to promote a greener and more sustainable future.

Aura’s offerings include its deployment-ready Hybrid Energy Storage System (HESS). Aura also provides a range of renewable energy solutions such as lighting, solar, and wind turbine systems, which contribute to reducing carbon emissions and fostering sustainability in public areas.

Aura has increased wind power generation efficiency from an industry standard of 60% to 92%, a productivity gain of over 50%, and in so doing made wind energy a commercially viable power solution, particularly in tandem with solar systems.

Aura Clean Energy’s commitment to sustainable practices extends to its holistic approach to lighting systems, with various tech integration options available. Aura’s Lighting System provides a comprehensive software package allowing remote control and monitoring of lights and battery life.

Aura Clean Energy works closely with communities, municipalities, and local councils to tailor solutions that align with their specific power needs and sustainability goals.

Aura is a veteran led company and acknowledges the service of Australian Defence veterans. Aura highly encourages veterans to join our ever growing team.

Our history

In 2014, Aura Clean Energy Ltd was established with the purpose of importing and distributing Typmar Vertical Axis Wind Turbines. The year also marked the initiation of wind tunnel testing for the Typmar turbine.

In 2015, the focus shifted towards refining the imported wind controller, alongside the design of a customized turbine pole adhering to Australian standards. The first on-site turbine was successfully installed in Melbourne, Australia.

The year 2016 witnessed the design and construction of the only small-scale VAWT wind dynamometer in the Southern Hemisphere. The performance of the imported wind controller saw a significant increase from 60% to 92%. Aura then embarked on the development of a unique 10-meter Australian wind map during this period.

In 2017, Aura Clean Energy achieved the milestone of designing and building our first hybrid wind/solar portable power trailer. Validation of the company’s factory and bench testing was carried out in real-life scenarios.

The year 2018 saw the design of a renewable energy microgrid for a major property developer in Melbourne, Australia. Additionally, the company designed, and factory tested their first hybrid wind/solar street light cluster, accommodating up to 10 lights. This marked a transition from a pure R&D focus to entering the market and initiating sales activities.

In 2019, Aura Clean Energy celebrated the successful sale of their hybrid wind/solar street light clusters to Australian Councils and secured a non-conforming tender to supply remote power systems for weather stations.

The year 2020 involved the establishment of agency arrangements for white label solar and LED lighting and winning another non-conforming tender to supply solar and hybrid wind/solar lighting to additional Australian Councils. The company achieved its first Smart Cities and IoT system installation during this period.

By 2021, Aura Clean Energy commenced conceptual design work on their own VAWT turbine and began the installation of solar and hybrid wind/solar lighting systems for Australian Councils.

The following year, in 2022, the company continued working on their VAWT turbine and initiated the development of their remote Stand Alone Power System (HESS).

As of 2023, significant achievements include the successful wind tunnel testing of Aura Clean Energy’s own VAWT turbine. The company also successfully tested and demonstrated their HESS remote power unit, and attained ISO 9001 Quality Management accreditation.
